Film Courage: If no one reads your book, you’ve written a journal?
Anna: Yeah, I stole that line from my friend Richard.
Film Courage: It’s a good one.
Anna: It’s my same friend who said he feels so sorry for people the week of their book release. I think that without an audience how audacious is it for you to think people are going to read your book? I was that audacious. I just thought Well it’s out there, obviously people are going to care. The reality is you’ve got to spend time:
-Nurturing [your audience];
-Finding your audience;
-Making them aware of you;
-Making sure they care about what your topic is.

Anna David is the New York Times bestselling author of two novels and six non-fiction books. She has appeared repeatedly on Today, The Talk, Good Morning America and had a running segment on G4’s Attack of the Show that she co-hosted with Olivia Munn for three years.
