Please Hollywood Realize That It’s Not Going To Work – Chris Gore

Chris Gore, Founder/Owner of FilmThreat/Author/Filmmaker: Please, if you’re a studio executive and you are watching this, everything is so corporate. It’s like what did Francis Ford Coppola say? Factory filmmaking. Just take the drivers from Fast and the Furious and put them in the Transformers‘ cars. I miss loving Star Wars. I miss loving it! I used to love it. Yes, I saw Wonder Woman 1984. I want to know what’s going to happen next and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the first five or 10 minutes of a movie and I don’t want to watch the rest of it or if I could just do the snap that Thanos did I would get rid of every franchise reboot post probably ’92. Where’s the movie that we all love without debate? That we’ve all loved…please Hollywood, realize that it’s not going to work.

Film Courage: Would you say that 99 percent of all movies today are garbage?

Chris Gore: In an age where most movies are referred to as content I would say that 99 percent of most movies are pretty bad. I always try to when I say 99 percent I mean of mainstream. It really is when you look at and especially I think one of the best examples of this is the sort of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and how that was you know bungled. How was that bungled? How the Star Wars franchise was bungled? How they could not..I mean to me I’m the studio executive in charge of Star Wars and we’re making a new Star Wars movie and the first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to put Han, Luke and Leia in a scene…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
