Film Courage: Do you still own DVDs and Blu-rays?
Jeremy: Not only do I still own DVDs and Blu-rays but I buy them constantly and it can be a little bit of a…cause a little bit of friction with my wife because if we go into a record store or any place where they sell Blu-rays and DVD’s, I’m going come out with at least a dozen and the reason is because I think…and actually I know I’m not the only person who feels this way, that physical media is going to go away in a big way, that Blu-rays are going to be I think the last high-definition (or I guess they have ultra-high-def Blu-rays now) but this is really going to be the last piece of physical media for movies that we own. So I’m buying as many as I can and I love film and television. I have oh gosh hundreds of Blu-rays and DVDs in my collection (everything) and I just feel like for like a filmmaker or a writer or an actor (Watch the video interview on Youtube here).

Jeremy Foley is an actor and director, known for The Faceless Man (2018), Fated (2015) and Dante’s Peak (1997). He is also the co-producer of Hell, California, a hardboiled crime fiction podcast anthology series (produced and developed by Christian Elder). It takes place in a mysterious, mythical California border town called Hell. Each episode is an original standalone noir story, often about greed, lust and murder. In March 2020, Elder, Foley and a team of six writers formed an online TV writers’ room during the pandemic, resulting in this series.
