
Film Courage: What are your thoughts on when an artist’s work stops being about the work and is now about the artist? I mean now when people get to a certain level (Quentin Tarantino, Richard Linklater, whomever) it’s no longer like Wow there is this great film…Oh? It’s their film? You are going to judge their films though previous films or any news about them. Now they are under a new set of criteria that no longer has to do with the story.
Tara Wood, Filmmaker: That’s interesting. I think some people, directors might be skewed that way. I guess it depends on which angle you’re coming from. Do you see their stamp because you know it’s their movie because they have a certain style, that’s who they are so you are going to see that. The other side I guess would be placating into that.
