Film Courage: What do screenwriters need to know about timelines?
Naomi Beaty, Writer, Screenwriting Teacher and Consultant: I think it’s definitely worth paying attention to the timeline of your story because there is a certain flow that when you’re reading a script if the sort of flow of logic or our sense of how much time is passing in the story, if that is off or unclear, that can be disorienting and make reading it confusing so that’s definitely worth paying attention to. It’s not a problem I see that often but occasionally it does come up where I can’t figure out…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
