:  A good story? Well you can’t stray too far from Aristotle, beginning, middle and end. But you’ve got to have some emotional tie-in. You’ve got to have some characters that you care about and you’ve got to have a situation that is compelling that they find themselves in.

Those a three key elements, structure but a central character to typically the protagonist character that we experience the story vicariously through them and they go through a series of challenges in a compelling situation. And most often we like to see them really put to the test, really challenged and we like to see them change.

Campbell talks about the whole point of The Hero’s Journey (Joseph Campbell) is transformation and I think the big reason why that’s the case, why stories and movies in particular…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
