Film Courage: Did you feel it was impossible to make Hollywood movies because you were in Sweden? And you didn’t know anyone in the film industry?
David F. Sandberg (a.k.a PonySmasher on Youtube): It felt very far away, very distant, yes. What you started seeing with YouTube that there was hope like with Fede Álvarez who directed the EVIL DEAD remake and DON’T BREATHE, he made a short film (PANIC ATTACK) that went viral and that’s how he got into Hollywood.
Same with Andrés Muschietti who made MAMA. He made the short film MAMA, then the big film MAMA and now he has done IT and all of these things.
