An angel takes on one more earthly mission and ends up earning her wings in “Christmas Magic,” a Hallmark Channel original movie premiering tonight at 8pm. The film came to life by writer Joany Kane pitching her script via Virtual Pitch Fest, an online service that allows screenwriters to send their query letters to industry executives with the assurance of a guaranteed response back. VPF has 320+ companies taking pitches, including Warner Bros., Sony, MGM, the Gersh Agency and APA. It’s also attracted the attention of many star-led companies, including those belonging to Robert Downey Jr., Owen Wilson, and Will Smith. Hundreds of writers have received submission requests through VPF, many of which have resulted in other script deals and representation. To learn more, go to www.VirtualPitchFest.com.
