MovieMaker Magazine names Film Courage one of “10 Best Podcasts For MovieMakers”

(Editor’s note: as 2012, we no longer do the audio podcast and have all interviews either video or written. We have made some of those podcasts and video interviews available via Soundcloud and iTunes).

We are really blown away by this news.  When we began this venture in April of 2009, this kind of recognition was unfathomable.  We never thought we would be featured in a magazine as prestigious and vital to filmmakers as MovieMaker Magazine.

All we can think to do is to thank our listeners and supporters.  Thank YOU.  We thank those who help make Sundays special for us.  We must certainly thank the many who have sent us encouraging messages and tweets along the way.  On days where struggle to find our own courage, those little signs of love help us carry forward.  Of course we must also thank our courageous guests who have appeared on our show and have opened up about their lives and shared their expertise.

When you are looking through the magazine stands you will want to find the MovieMaker Magazine with Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the cover to see the article for yourself.

We’d like to congratulate each of the podcasts who also made this year’s list.

Other fantastic podcasts that are not on this particular list that we love and deserve mention FilmSnobbery LIVE hosted by Nic Baisley and Jerry Cavallaro, Rex Sikes Movie Beat, Cutting Room Floor hosted by Casey Ryan, On The Page hosted by Pilar Allesandra, Film Method hosted by Cindy Freeman, & KCRW’s The Business hosted by Kim Masters and John Horn.

To date we have recorded 124 episodes and have featured over 200 guests, so MovieMaker had plenty of folks they could have spotlighted, and in this instance they went with Cinematographer Philip Bloom (Red Tails).  The moment they highlight with Philip was a fun moment, but not as fun as the classic moment that occurs right as we introduce Mr. Bloom on the show.  You have to tune in for that one –

Once again we want to thank you and we want to thank MovieMaker Magazine for this honor.  This is incredibly special to us.

If you would like to thank MovieMaker for including us on this list (we really hope some of you will) or if you believe a sensational podcast is missing please email
