Ad choices for California residents – January 1, 2020

This is to inform California residents on how they can control their advertising choices under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Personalized Advertising on FilmCourage.com

Film Courage, LLC (herein referred to as FilmCourage.com) does not sell our users’ private personal information. Our content is free to view on our website, Youtube and other social media sites. Use of FilmCourage.com is limited to individuals over the age of 13 (and age 16 in some states). FilmCourage.com is NOT intended for individuals under the age of 13 years old.

FilmCourage.com selectively runs banner advertisements with filmmakers (through our advertising page). We also use third-party affiliate links.

FilmCourage.com collects one kind of information which is Anonymous User Information.

The only information FilmCourage.com may have on a user through our in-house banner ads (not affiliate marketing) and visiting other pages on our website is:

*The URL you visited

*The IP (Internet Protocol) for the individual user while browsing FilmCourage.com.

*The browser for the individual user while browsing FilmCourage.com.

*The device type for the individual user while browsing FilmCourage.com.

These four identifiers (URL, IP address, browser type, device type) from clicking on posts or our personal banner ads is not sold or provided to any other company. Our web server via our hosting company stores this information in access logs for 30 days. We store this data only for hosting purposes.

FilmCourage.com does NOT collect any other personal identifying information including:

•We do not collect your name

•We do not collect your home/work address

•We do not collect your email address

•We do not collect your telephone number

•We do not collect your credit/debit card information

• We do not collect your Social Security Number

Oftentimes you can set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies before using FilmCourage.com, however certain features of FilmCourage.com may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Ads and Analytics Services Provided by Others:

Other parties (from affiliates) may also provide analytics services via our services. These ad networks and analytics providers may set tracking technologies (like cookies) to collect information about your use of our services and across other websites and online services. These technologies allow these third parties to recognize your device for information about you or others who use your device.

How do I request to view or change the use of my personal information?

The information you will receive by making requests via emailing us at filmcourage21(at)gmail.com is already largely available to you through the Site.  As mentioned previously these four identifiers (URL clicked, IP address, browser type, device type) from clicking on posts is not sold or provided to any other company. Our web server stores this information via access logs for 30 days. We store this data only for hosting purposes.

You have the ability to edit most of the information you provide to us, except in cases where it relates to a legally required reason, such as for regulatory compliance. The use of VPN (Virtual Private Network) or onion browser may also be helpful however may limit the use of some pages of our website.

FilmCourage.com’s use of third-party tools (affiliate links and GoogleAdwords):

These third-party services may collect information through the use of web beacons that are located on the pages of FilmCourage.com. A web beacon is a see-through graphic image placed on a website page and, in conjunction  with a cookie, allows a site to collect information about the use of the web page that contains said web beacon.

FilmCourage.com uses the Google Adwords and Amazon Affiliates, amongst other third-party tools for affiliate links. Vendors that operate the third-party tools may also gather information about your visits to third-party sites outside of FilmCourage.com.

However, while FilmCourage.com does not track your individual-level activity on the internet outside of FilmCourage, affiliates and other third-parties may collect information automatically collected by FilmCourage (not information you provide), and combine it with data they collect elsewhere for targeted advertising purposes. This policy explains how FilmCourage.com responds to allegations of the unauthorized use of copyrighted images, text, or links to allegedly infringing materials under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
