Film Courage: If you don’t feel like you’re growing artistically mentally spiritually how can you tell and how do you change it?
Jadon Cal, Filmmaker/Actor/Screenwriter: I don’t know if you can tell because I think that’s how people…that’s kind of the scary thing because people end up 30-40 years down the road and they say How did I get here?
So I don’t know if you can tell unless you’re diligent about it and unless you’re really intentional. I think that the key is being intentional with everything in life and looking at everything you’re doing in life.
Is this something that’s an idol in my life?
Am I worshiping this?
Is this serving others?
Is this serving myself?
Is this a selfish ambition?
Even if it is beneficial to me, is there a way I can also have it help others?
Does this have negative impacts on my body, on my mind?
Do I have negative thoughts because I listen to that or watch this?
I think you just have to be intentional.
Film Courage: Are you intentional with every role, with every story that you write and every film that you become a part of?
Jadon: More and more as I get older, I am more intentional. When I first started I was willing to just do anything, not anything, but I was willing to do a wider range of projects because I just wanted to get more of a resume, get my face out there, that sort of thing in terms of acting.

Jadon Cal began his storytelling journey at a young age under veteran actor parents in Los Angeles, California. From training in a multitude of acting workshops and appearing in a few independent films growing up, he transitioned into the film industry right out of high-school. Having produced & directed multiple feature films, Jadon has continually molded his craft with a unique perspective and continues to study under various acting coaches around LA.
His most notable credits and achievements include starring in “Robbie Ain’t Right No More” which screened at Tribeca Film Festival and has garnered him a slew of awards at festivals around the country. He’s also recently worked on larger scale productions with actors such as Joey King, Mira Sorvino, Lee Majors, Danielle Harris, and Aleksa Palladino. His upcoming film, “Off Rip” which he wrote, directed, and starred in, will be screening in festivals in 2025.
