Film Courage: What do you like to teach writers about brainstorming?
Adam Argot, Story Artist/Instructor/YouTube: I do have some brainstorming exercises in my book Story By Numbers.
Some of the brainstorming sections to me, it’s just like that’s what a conversation is, I love sitting and batting around ideas, you know?
I feel like I’m lucky that for whatever reason I’m endlessly curious.
I seem to have a lot of ideas snowballing in my brain all the time.
I love taking these ideas and then bringing them and giving them life, giving them a body.

I have a few exercises in the book.
One of them is…well first of all…it’s this meets that, which is kind of an old Hollywood way of pitching.
It’s the Godfather meets Alien.
I have this whole thing where you and a friend get together and write down 10-20 of your favorite movies on a different list.
Then you throw down some dice or do some random number generator and you choose two different numbers or two different whatever that number is you choose from the two lists…(Watch the video interview on YouTube here).
