I used to…
Where do we enter the scene?
Who’s in it?
What do they start to say?
And let it build through time in a very linear way.
I’ve departed from that.
I think it’s for the best, at least in my process, where what I end up doing in sketching scenes, and I think it makes the process less daunting and more like allowing yourself to sketch.
It doesn’t have to be perfect on your first write through, but I know where there’s pieces of dialogue that have to happen, that have to advance the story.
