Film Courage: For Bezos movie, when did Jeff Bezos approach you?
Khoa Le, Entrepreneur and Filmmaker: Well, Jeff Bezos didn’t approach me, Armando Gutierrez approached me. He’s the producer for Walt Before Mickey.
We had a falling out in the middle of the years because I’m an infant when it came to business and we were immature. That was like 10 years ago. We had a falling out and then we rectified a couple years before that. I was referring him some business and he goes:
Glad you called man. I have an opportunity for you. You want to do something with Jeff Bezos?
I said Yeah, obviously.
I said yeah, read the script, hated it and I asked for tweaks. They brought on other writers to tweak it. I still didn’t like the script too much but we’re running out of time because they wanted to lock down production. That’s why I’m saying story is not king…(Watch the video interview on YouTube here).
