Film Courage: We often hear that the AI that you see today is the worst you’ll ever see? What are you doing as someone who’s actively building an AI product or products to improve, to grow, to expand, to make it more lifelike?
Russell Palmer, Co-Founder of CyberFilm AI: Yeah, definitely. Part of it is setting a road map with predictions. When we saw that text was able to be generated, images would be next in video. When our startup was founded, sort of assuming that road map and that we’d build up each as we go, you definitely need to do a little bit of research each day to keep up with the latest trends. It feels like in the world of AI there’s something new being invented every week. Sometimes it makes the old stuff less relevant. We’re always looking for how can we help our users make movies that look great? Maybe help with visual effects or anything they can’t do themselves and try to build those and test those with our app [Saga].
A big part of it too is just predicting what could go wrong with each of these different things and making decisions. Deep fakes is a hugely problematic area but as I mentioned in the other question, could be useful for re-shoot or translations. You can sell your movie if in more places on the other hand we need to predict and try to get ahead of things and make business decisions.
