Film Courage: Can you tell us about the time in your life when you told your dad you would never own a business, you would always be working for someone, as an employee?

Kevin Interdonato, Actor/Filmmaker: Yeah! Never in a million years, in a million years did I think I would produce a movie because that meant opening up an LLC and that’s just not happening because growing up seeing him have to ask people for money when he was owed money. He’s a real man, my dad is, like a man’s man. To have to knock on that door like:

Hey, you think you could pay me what you owe me today?

I’ll have it next week, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And come back next week. To see a man go through that, especially your dad and not just like grab someone by the throat and knock him out because he knew that if he did that, which he is more than capable of, could have my old man, but he chose family over that. 

I was like I’m never going to be in a position where I have to ask somebody for money. I just want to be the employee.Seeing what it was to be a business owner and all the stresses and everything that they deal with I’d rather just be the employee, do my work (my eight hours), take my breaks, get my paycheck on Friday and not have to deal with anything, such a simple life comparably and and nobody would ever know that unless they grew up in a family business or was just their first hand with someone that owned a business to really see it. 

The last thing I ever wanted to do was make a movie, the last thing I ever wanted to do was make a movie but creatively I was busting out the seams too.
