Money Problems Are Never About Money – Viki King

[Watch the video interview on YouTube here]

Film Courage: Something else I believe you’ve said is money issues are never really about money?

Viki King, Author and Film Consultant: No, they’re always about love, always.

Say for instance, a son knows that his father was never successful and could never make a go of any business, so then you’ll see the son unable to surpass his father because his relationship with his father is love, he loves him very much and wants so for his father to succeed, but trying to have his father succeed makes the son fail. It’s connected to love, it’s not connected to money. Money is happy to come at you all the time but you have to know how to have a good full stream in relationship to love.

Film Courage: But what if someone says just when I’m about to get ahead I’m hit with all these bills and so I have love in my heart it’s that I don’t make enough to keep up with rising prices.

Viki: If the belief system is I don’t make that the person doesn’t make enough to keep up with rising prices, then therefore they will not keep up with rising prices, so that’s their belief system. Now that belief system might have come from mom or dad. There’s a lot of phrases like:

-Money doesn’t grow on trees. You can’t have that toy.
-You better learn how to fend for yourself.

There’s all kinds of phrases that are brought into people’s belief systems and then that’s what they believe.

Whatever is going on in your relationship to money and look at that, there is a belief about that and it’s anchored in a love, a belief.

Film Courage: Then the flip side, what about people that come from abundance but somehow they still have money troubles?

Viki: Yeah, because it’s love. Say for instance their father was very wealthy but he wasn’t home because he was bringing home the bacon and so he wasn’t home to give them time but he would buy things for them, so then they would be in abundance financially but they would be hollowed out, feel a sadness about that they weren’t loved. It’s always the money/love component that has to do in relationship to money and it’s never about money. It’s it never:

If you have this job, you’ll make this amount of money and then you’ll be fine.

Only if you believe that’s true.

Film Courage: Then maybe somebody that did come from abundance and they’re not doing well financially, is it that they view money as evil?

Viki: They could. Everybody’s got their individual way of…(Watch the video interview on YouTube here).
