Film Courage: Have you always loved writing? 

Naomi Beaty, Writer, Screenwriting Teacher and Consultant: I have. I grew up with my nose in a book all the time and I think around third grade I decided to write my first novel so I attempted it then. I’ve always loved stories, I’ll back up and say that. Writing was something that I did to sort of convey the stories in my head.

Film Courage: And were these Ramona Cleary books or? 

Naomi: I grew up on Nancy Drew, that was my favorite and then I moved to Stephen King. That was an interesting transition…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
