Filmmaker / Author Jon Reiss (Bomb It, Think Outside the Box Office) informs us that 35,000 to 45,000 feature films trying to on on the Film Festival circuit each year, of those about 600 make it onto the regular circuit, and in a good year 50 to 100 films end up with some kind of distribution deal that makes them happy.
