Fears And Doubts That Hold Artists Back – Erica Wernick

Film Courage: Erica, I have a composite of someone I’d like you to coach.

Erica Wernick, Personal Coach, Author and Speaker: Cool.

Film Courage: We will give her the name of “Crystal.” She has wonderful ideas which she puts in notebooks. She’s written five screenplays but ultimately feels like an imposter especially because she hasn’t been able to get any producers interested in her work. She’s had no luck with screenwriting contests.

Her goal is to be a Hollywood screenwriter. Crystal has always done incredibly well at everything she’s undertaken. She’s a perfectionist and somewhat competitive. Her sense of self-worth is wrapped up in always being the best and always winning which she’s usually been successful at. She’s feeling more and more that her work isn’t interesting and creative enough…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).

BIO: Twelve years ago, Erica Wernick (personal coach, author, speaker) had a dream of working in Hollywood, but she didn’t know a soul and had zero connections. Despite all this, Erica was able to break in and booked her first TV show just two weeks after moving to LA. Over the past decade, Erica has lived her dream, designing graphics for television and film. You can see her work on hit shows like Glee, The Office, Superstore, and most recently Top Chef. After fulfilling her own dream, Erica felt called to help other Hollywood creatives with their dreams, and started a coaching business. Since then, Erica has developed a reputation as Hollywood’s Leading Success Coach, and between herself and her clients, they’ve booked work on over 60 television shows and films on every major network, including Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and more.
