What Can Filmmakers Learn From Quentin Tarantino? by Tara Wood

Film Courage: What did studying Quentin Tarantino teach you about storytelling?

Tara Wood, Filmmaker: What did studying Quentin Tarantino teach you about storytelling? His attention to detail on every level, I think that is what Quentin taught me. You have to pay attention, it’s all important.

He has the Kangaroo from PULP FICTION on the shelf on JACKIE BROWN and I believe in The Hateful Eight. Those little things, not only is it cool but it’s cool here. You’re like Aahhh! Because that Kangaroo meant so much back then in Pulp Fiction to bring it now and give the viewers something to look forward to. That is his type of thing.

What is another example of that type of thing, the detail? Oh…Uma’s shoes, her little Tiger Asics…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
