Filmed On The Blackmagic Pocket 4K Cinema Camera, Jack Peterson’s Debut Feature SAWGRASS Now Available For Free On YouTube

Chicago, Illinois – October, 2019

Indie feature SAWGRASS is now available for free on YouTube. SAWGRASS is a psychedelic journey through Florida, featuring deformed Disney characters, vintage 1980’s animatronics, and an extensive interview with the brother of the Las Vegas shooter.

Jack Peterson, Filmmaker/Activist

The film was directed, shot, and edited entirely by Jack Peterson, in an attempt to keep production as simple and straightforward as possible. Film festivals and traditional distribution routes were avoided, primarily for the purpose of saving time to start work on the next film as soon as possible.

The film’s live-action sequences were shot on a Blackmagic Pocket 4K Cinema Camera, and occasionally a Samsung Galaxy S10. Post-production was done almost entirely in Davinci Resolve, with the exception of the animated sequences, which were created in Adobe After Effects.

SAWGRASS features Eric Paddock, Aaron Fechter, Thomas Jackson, Abel S. Moz, Howard Raik, and Tanner Vidos. Also included in the film are several extended animated sequences, which feature mermaids, flying rocket-fish, princesses, and talking bears.
