Frustrated Brazilian TV Journalist Lara (Cassandra Thomas) has been sent on a “nonsense mission” to the heart of the English countryside with Yossi (Jonnie Hurn, Do Elephants Pray?, Umbrage:The First vampire), a war-torn Cameraman, to discover the truth about these mysterious formations.
There they meet long-term investigator, the elusive and broken Hatter (James Fisher, (Dead End, Stagger), desperate to reconnect with his son Dean. Only the local barmaid Aideen (Chloe Farnworth, Ava’s Impossible Things, Bigger Than The Beatles) seems to know the truth about this clandestine world, but if she does she’s in no hurry to tell.

Shot in the countryside of Wiltshire, England in the summer of 2013, “In Circles” is the first feature film dedicated to the world of Crop Circles. Born out of several years of research into the various theories surrounding their creat ion and based on the experiences of the people involved the film aims to show a side of the phenomenon that is rarely seen or known.
By combining fact and fiction Filmmakers Jonnie Hurn (who was born and raised in Wiltshire) and Ian Manson have created a dramatic film with a documentary feel to it, one that shows off the splendor of the Wiltshire countryside through its landscape, people and most importantly, the Crop Circles themselves.
IN CIRCLES is the directorial debut of the two directors Jonnie Hurn and Ian Manson (a.k.a. Manson Hurn), who tired of the usual routine wanted to make their debut something different from the usual zombie/horror based first feature.
The double -headed director beast Manson Hurn was conceived on a canal barge in November 2012 and born on -set in the Wiltshire countryside the following year. Noted for its maverick approach to film making thanks to hard graft on numerous low and microbudget films Manson Hurn has a knack of making something out of nothing and see the lack of resources, time or funds as artist challenges rather than drawbacks.
