Publisher of Cultural Weekly and Former President of National Geographic Films Adam Leipzig believes the line between selling, marketing, and success in the creative community is a blurry line. He says sometimes artists are criticized within the artists community for marketing too much which is something we have to overcome. He thinks 90% of an artist’s success can be attributed to offering the work, not in the marketing of the work.
